It helps protect the vehicle against misuse of the remote control signal, for example during a so-called relay attack, where attackers try to amplify or transmit the key signal and unlock and start the vehicle without physical damage.
Thanks to its shielding construction based on the principle of a Faraday cage, the pouch effectively limits wireless communication between the stored remote control and its surroundings.
