Professional blocker
WiebeTech® Forensic UltraDock ™ FCDv6 is a new professional tool that digital and forensic investigators, lawyers and technicians can rely on. With this blocker, specialists can view and map a data unit without changing its contents. It is an easy-to-use dual-mode docking station that offers a variety of host and disk connections and is compatible with forensic acquisition and analytics software.
Dual mode: Write-block & Read / write
The WiebeTech Forensic UltraDock v6.0 CRU is a secure dual-mode dock implementation. It is very easy to switch from write-blocked to read / write mode and use WiebeTech Forensic ComboDock v5.5 for normal connection of hard disks to a computer.
Uncompromising write lock
It is impossible to accidentally deactivate the write lock. Each time you turn on the Forensic ComboDock FCDv6, you will be asked if you want to boot the system into Write-Lock mode or Read / Write mode. This will prevent you from compromising your evidence, which can happen with other blockers if you forget to switch the mode back to Write-Block.
Identify and remove hidden areas
You can detect, delete, or modify Host Protected Areas (HPAs), Device Configuration Overlays (DCOs), and Accessible Max Address Configurations (AMAs) that may hide additional data on the disk under investigation. The menu on the LCD display simplifies these actions - no complicated DIP switches need to be set.
Disk information at your fingertips
The blocker provides quick access to selected important SMART data, such as operating hours, number of power cycles, and hard drive status. It can also display the model and serial number reported by the firmware of the connected drive. You can also use the free software to view this information on your computer and save it to a file for easy inclusion in the report.
New connection
A novelty compared to the older model v5.5 is the USB-C connector, which makes it much easier to connect to a computer against the original USB 3.0.
Extensive disk support
Forensic ComboDock FCDv6 works with the most common types of hard drives and SSDs, such as IDE / PATA and SATA. However, if you need to work with a non-standard disk, various adapters are available for more flexibility.
The package includes:
AC adapter and power cord
USB Type-C cable
USB-A to USB-C cable
Cable with SATA drive connector
IDE cable
Molex MiniFit on the power cable
